After playing some Alien: Isolation I just had to make this model. After a day and a half of work, fueled mainly by hip hop, it is complete.
The face detail is actually all texture work and the face geometry itself is completely flat. I could have used a high-low poly bake but I decided instead to use an alpha and the height map stamping effect in Substance Painter as I was going to be spending a lot of time authoring the texture for the face text anyway I might as well just make an alpha for the imprint (also my laptop would probably just melt if I tried to work with a high poly with enough polygons).

I have been a fan of the Alien franchise ever since I was a kid. Kinda. Initially, Alien was the reason I lost a lot of sleep as a kid, but even as a frightened child, I found certain aspects of the movie interesting. Eventually I grew up and warmed up to the movie.
