First test with Agisoft Photoscan on a piece of lawn decor from my front yard. Showing here a game-ready low-poly LOD group.
PROCESS
32 pictures were taken on my T3i around the owl using Magic Latern for Dual ISO (gives me a higher dynamic range to cancel out shadows). These were then taken into Agisoft for point cloud and high poly mesh generation.
Once I have my high poly I take that into Instant Meshes to generate 3 levels of an LOD group (shown in my models here). These are taken into Blender for a quick UV unwrap, then re-exported to Substance Designer.
In Substance Designer I bake down my base colour, normals, AO, curvature, and position data from my high poly to each low poly in the LOD group. The base colour is run through some AO cancellation and the new high frequency/low frequency light cancellation nodes. The roughness is created using a generator which takes the AO and curvature data to create grunge. The cavity map is generated using the HBAO node with the baked normal map 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 28279 polygons.

Durian has thick and thorny skin. It is famous and well known as the inspiration for Singapore’s Esplanade. Not only so, it is notoriously famous for its overwhelming stench. Yet to some, the smell is disgustingly nice. Durians are also analogues of treasure chests with many compartments. Inside each durian is approximately 5 different segments with each enclosing 2/3 portions of creamy yellow coloured and textured flesh wrapping around a large seed. After opening the durian, the excitement comes to know exactly how many segments (and thus how many flesh of durians you get) there are. You can just keep splitting it open to find more “treasures”.
If you happen to visit Singapore, be sure to give it a try! Even if you hate it, it’s a once in a lifetime experience. A WWII radar station on Ward Hill, Fair Isle, it was a Coast Defence U-boat (C.D.U.) station which was the naval version of the R.A.F.’s Chain Home Low (C.H.L.) radar. Radar was used here to track shipping and surfaced submarines and at longer distances aircraft. Something that makes this site unusual is that parts of the antennas and their turntables still survive here. After the war the site was partially dismantled then some buildings/structures blown up with explosives. Damage to the floors indicate where some of the charges were set.
Fair Isle is situated about half way between the Orkney Isles and the Shetland Isles off the north coast of Scotland.
