Two fountains like this one are surrounding the 3000 years old Luxor obelisk Designed by Jacques Ignace Hittorff, completed during reign of king Louis-Philippe in 1840. Interesting fact, during french revolution, the guillotine was placed on this place and this is where king Louis XVI was beheaded. Influences on these fountains designs were twin fountains in Piazza San Pietro and Piazza Navona in Rome. Model created in reality capture.
