This business-class sedan produced by Alfa Romeo from 1987 to 1998. It was the flagship model of the brand. A total of 273857 cars were produced.

The 164 was designed by Enrico Fumia of Pininfarina. In 1993, the design of the model was slightly updated. Over the years of production, cars have been equipped with a wide range (16 versions) of V-shaped and in-line engines ranging 2-3 liters.
