This work is based on a Sketchup-file. Unfortunately I don´t remember the name of its author. Anyway, thanks for the great model! Several years ago I converted and repaired it into a watertight STL-file. Sadly the resolution of the model is only useful for printing in small scales.
My purpose is to provide watertight STL-files for you, which can easily be modified for 3D-printing, according to your references. Therefore, most of my models are not repaired into one single shell. This may be a bit more difficult for the preparation of the build, but helps you a lot, if you want to personalize the model. E.g. if you want to seperate parts, such as wheels or to remove delicate details like wipers etc.
Before printing, please check out if you have to modify the model, depending on the favored size of your print and the requirements of your printer. I hope you enjoy it. Happy printing!

The arrival of mechanical movable type printing introduced the era of mass communication, which permanently altered the structure of society. The printing press could print 1000’s of pages per day versus only 40-50 pages with the old method. This was a dramatic improvement and allowed books to be acquired by the middle class for the first time in the history of Europe. Knowledge and education spread throughout the continent like never before.
Update: The 1st Printing Press was made in Blender 2.78, so I’ve updated to the version 2.93, and fixed some issues: The downloadable file has both .BLEND and .FBX formats. I’ve updated the number of bones.
