The crown was melted by the Catholic League in 1590 and replaced by the queen’s crown, which was very similar but without a tiara. The queen’s crown was destroyed during the French Revolution. This Staue of Narsinha, a demonic beast form of God Vishnu, built in 1703AD by king “Bhupatindra Malla” is placed as a guardian at the top of the staircase, guarding the Five Storeys Roofed Pagoda Style temple located in Bhaktapur called “Nyatapole Temple”.
