Designed by Jacques Ignace Hittorff, completed during reign of king Louis-Philippe in 1840.
Interesting fact, during french revolution, the guillotine was placed on this place and this is where king Louis XVI was beheaded.
Influences on these fountains designs were twin fountains in Piazza San Pietro and Piazza Navona in Rome.

Hematite is an iron mineral crystallizing in the rhombohedral system; the most important ore of iron, it is dimorphous with Maghemite, occurs in black metallic-looking crystals, in reniform masses or fibrous aggregates, or in reddish earthy forms. Hematite is also known as bloodstone; red hematite; red iron ore; red ocher; or rhombohedral iron ore.

Used 231 cross polarized photos and processed them in Agisoft Metashape. I sculpted the smooth parts of the model in Blender and then decimated the model in Agisoft and then manually optimized the lowpoly geometry in Blender. UV was also initially generated in Metashape and manually optimized in Blender. PBR maps were created in Substance Painter.
