A commission for a friend for a submarine. Tried to make a somewhat unique-looking submarine in my own style, with a bit of futuristic flair. It’s much larger than your typical submarine, measuring in at a length of almost 305 meters, making it almost double the length of the world’s largest submarine.
Did not research how submarines work or function at all, but at least tried to make it look submersible! No windows, turbines, fins, etc.

The first Russian submarine game ready asset is a high quality, low poly asset originally modeled in blender 2.92.0
The normal map was baked from a high poly model in Substance Painter 2020, making this model look very detailed without using many polygons.
This model is intended for game/real time/ usage/close-UPS/illustraions/historical movies/short films/cartoons/various renderings.
The renders and wireframes were done in Marmoset Toolbag 4.

This project was made with 3dsMAX, Adobe Photoshop, and Corel Photo Paint.
It was designed to be added to Microsoft Flight Simulator X as an addon.
Some of novelties at the time were the flames of the afterburners wich is part of the 3D model, as opposed to the - at the time - standard use of sprite. On Flight SImulator, it was similar to what I uploaded here, but with a fresnel ramp added to the opacity of the flame in order to made it disappear when approaching 90° from the normal. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 59109 polygons.
