Final 3D model of an ongoing project for Isart Digital 2023-2024 ; which consists of creating a fantasy weapon from scratch from 2D concept art to 3D modeling and UI. This is a set of katars with an inspiration of seraphim & thrones, with a lot of noticeable features such as wings, multiple eyes and a halo. Also first time using Substance 3D Painter for the textures and only doing handpainting with base color, emissive, opacity and ambient occlusion! I wanted to remake Katarina’s base ASU model after Minagami’s concept) while also combining some official depictions of her accross media. The design choices are approximately an average with some of my own preferences since there are a few inconsistencies. After Ahri’s ASU, I feel like Katarina, being one of Leagues popular poster champions and older than Ahri deserves an update to follow up and really bring to life the lore in her comic and modernize her visuals! This is an on-going project with more modernizations of her skins to come. Stay tuned!
