This is a replication of a grandfather clock found in the Disney attraction, The Haunted Mansion.
Optimized low-poly and high-poly sculpt were made entirely in Blender. The model was then exported into Substance Painter for texturing.

A photogrammetry scan of the Haunted Mansion Entrance Plaque. I remapped the UV texture and painted it in Substance painter. I wish it looked good but there are a few foreign triangles that look bad when zoomed in, partiallly from me attempting to reduce triangles. I hope it still looks good though. The original file was in misplaced in my old models folder and while I’ve seen many etsy sellers who have used this model, I cant find the original poster. The decendents of the original owners rediscovered it in a draw and put it up for auction.The ivory was obtained in the 1840s, and , and laster carved in China around 1899-1900 during the Boxer Rebellion. The auctioneer noted
“This was a very enlightened family, and this would have been a very loving gift from a husband to wife. You can see that because the level of detail is incredible, down to the folds of the skin. There’s a heart carved at the base of it, where her finger would have been, and a receptacle in which she could keep a lock of his hair.”

A little sad that that the lil mouse necromancer (Necro-mouser?) sadly didn’t make the final model, but I’ll definitely be updating this asset with him in!
Despite having a nightmare (aka losing all my texturing the night before!) I tried to work through it and still get my submission done in time, and I’m really pleased with the results! This was an area I wasn’t very confident in (sculpting especially) and so I’ve learnt tons this last week! I’m hoping to be more involved in future challenges as I enjoyed this one tons!
