Based on “Littlest Tokyo” by glenatron, licensed under CC Attribution-ShareAlike.
This time I wanted to simply enhance the stylised look with some complimentry lighting, and a nice vibrant sunsent seemed to work a treat!
Beyond the basic light setup, I added a background to match my colour scheme and a shadowcatcher to grab those long end of day shadows. The lagerstätte in China is an El Dorado for paleontologists and evolutionary biologists: more than 1000 specimens of Confuciusornis were found there. These findings provide valuable information on the evolution of birds.
Confuciusornis sanctus is Number 21 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 8 of the NHM Vienna.
