This time I wanted to take my skills to the test and make an entire enviroment in a pixely PS1 style. It was quite the undertaking but I feel that it turned out quite well! I was inspired by those early 3d/2d fighting games like “King Of Fighters Neowave” and such, therefore the stage is designed to only be viewed from one restricted angle.

Hello! I revisited Claw machine’s draft after getting feedback about trasnitions and details, but design was updated mostly due to my freind’s and my new ideas and thoughts for this model and for our project. We decided to make it more stylised, chunky and relevant for the planned project, early on I imagined that cabinet is metalic with planks’ pattern drawn on but I decided to make it made out of actual wooden planks that reinforce the idea of barn-like arcade machine. I also refined shapes and details and their transitions, now it should be ok for model’s draft. One month assignment. The goal was to make a next-gen character, ready to be implemented into a game. I really wanted to make a scifi character in his combat suit. I was inspired by Star Citizen, but Halo’s designs are really the best ones for this. For the process, at first I made the lowpoly model in Maya, then I went to Zbrush to subdivide it and put all the details needed with my own alphas. I baked the highpoly model in susbtance painter, and then I tried to make several smart materials to texture the whole character. I also did 2 different camos, because I needed a character that could fit in my upcoming space station project. I also rigged my character with my own auto-rig, therefore I was able to put it in several poses.
