Both are inflated using hydrogen gas, generated by a hydrogen generator at the surface. The balloon version has uninflated balloons that can be filled in an emergency situation. The electricity generator sits in the middle (DOES NOT connect directly to the axle) and is connected to the gear hub (which is electrically controlled via a motor near the tail).
