I love Metroid since I can remember. Decided to do this model to learn more about Maya, UVing and make the lowest poly count i can. Sadly my model was getting all squared here even with normal maps, soo i had to up 1 smooth subDiv, but its ok for me. I’ve learned a lot on the process of making this Morph Ball. Hi! There, I want to show you my latest hard surface modeling where is I made a weapon from the cool character on Overwatch (Sombra). I try to challenge myself to create different textures from the original, so I decide to use Asiimov skin from CSGO as my reference, i took almost two weeks to finish model, texture, lighting, and rendering btw here is the result :)
btw the texture on the right side flipped, coz I just mirror the UV and overlapped xD I’m too lazy to create another uv map

For correct rotations in Unity engine you might need to tick the “Bake axis conversion” import option when importing the FBX.
