Sculpted in VR with oculus medium. Painting on vertex isn't great so I had to create shapes for everything (typically the moustaches and eyes). I used an actual nutcracker on my desk as a reference :) From Wikipedia: Nutcrackers in the form of wood carvings of a soldier, knight, king, or other profession have existed since at least the 15th century. Finally was able to work on this before Christmas.
That said, during the process of adding mesh and reskin, a lot of imperfection are discovered. Received plenty of feedback that the controller is less than ideal. And I must concur, as it is a product of rushed time.
The next update should be other mascots, if this one ever gets another one, it’s gonna be a big overhaul with new animation.
