This is a simple low-poly model of the interior of a library, which I made during my time studying 3D animation at UW-Whitewater. This set was originally supposed to be used in an edutainment game of sorts made with Unity, which would explain both the arrow and the low polygon count and the simple textures (we didn’t know how big this was going to be, so we started small). We were thinking of a MYST-like first person adventure game where the player would explore a library alone to search for clues and solve puzzles. This is a vintage drill I bought at Kortrijk eco shop and tried to replicate it as realistic as I could.
I couldn’t find out what kind of drill it was, but I do know it was produced in West Germany so probably during the Cold War era., which explains why I can’t find it BUT if you find it let me know!!

Call it nostalgia, but I’ve always loved the look of the turtles from the original 1990 film. It blew me away that they took these relatively simple drawings, and brought to life these really realistic humanoid turtles. I remember losing my mind when I first saw them. When I started working on this by chance, there were these new turtle figures out that had captured quite a bit of the detail from the movie costumes so I used those as reference heavily. I built this model with high end game cinematics in mind, base model was around 83k before smoothed. He will eventually have a full working facial rig with mouth cavity....just getting lazy here towards the end on him..haha. The skin I ended up using one of the default new orc skin templates in painter and messed around with the layers in that with some of my own custom additions and I think it turned out fairly nice.
