Mictlan Fans here is another preview of one of our most recent characters so you can see the level of details that goes into our video game production. This Character was inspired by a real-life historical account by a group of otomí tribe elite warriors called “Cuachicqueh” or also known as the bold hair warriors. This was one of the most powerful warriors that even the Spaniards spoke on their history books as unbeatable, they were trained in the Kalmekak since an early age and brought up to be war machines, but instead of the conventional army warriors, they were profoundly spiritual and devoted to giving their life to the God of War “Huitzilopochtli” In order to be on this rank, you would have to have captured 6 warriors for sacrificial offering and have won numerous other battles, to be this high rank in the elite. I wanted to make a new hellenic thing, but then realised that this may be original Roman design - at least I found no evidence of greek origins of the design. It’s still doric though!
This model is based on the sarcophagus of Lucius Cornelius Scipio Barbatus (clearly a roman guy), and here is the fun fact - the inscription on the tablet was once redone, most likely by one of the relatives of Scipio.
