The harquebusier was the most common form of cavalry found throughout Western Europe during the early to mid-17th century. Early harquebusiers were characterised by the use of a type of carbine called a “harquebus”. In England, harquebusier was the technical name for this type of cavalry, though in everyday usage they were usually simply called ‘cavalry’ or ‘horse’. In Germany they were often termed Ringerpferd, or sometimes Reiter, in Sweden they were called lΓ€tta ryttare.
The armour comprises a Pot Helmet with two-piece skull joined by a low-comb, neck-guard (Lobster tail) of simulated lames and pointed peak or visor with three-bar guard hinged at each side to allow it to be raised when not needed. At each side are the cheek pieces for protection, hinged by means of leather strips.

The 3D model presents a digital reconstruction of solid and riveted rings of archaeological mail armour. To create 3D models of the rings, we used polygonal modelling functions of Blender software. In order to record the relevant measurements of the mail rings, we used a list of parameters. This list includes 11 parameters for a riveted ring and four parameters for a solid ring. This is a re-creation of the new imperial sentinel figurine from w40k made by games workshop based on the first images made pre-release.
This asset was modelled, sculpted, rigged and animated in blender, textured/baked in substance painter.
