Though it ended up a bit too polygon-heavy, I am still happy how this turned out. My main difficulty was to render out curvature maps for the rust and scratch effects in Substance painter, but Xnormal does a good enough job after some tweaking around in Substance Painter. This is a model based off of Joe Petagno’s cover art for the 1986 album “Orgasmatron” by Motörhead. Petagno is the original artist behind Motörheads famous boar-like figurehead and the guy behind their album art. He has also created Led Zeppelins famous Icarus character and artwork for many other bands of different genres, even covers for sci-fi books. This is it my first game character I make in 3D, and I finally finshed :D After months studying with the course Anatomy of Rafael Souza (And another ones along the way, like game hair, render on marmoset, etc), I have finally finished this piece, where I made it everything from the scratch, trying to capture the concepts from Prince Of Persia Warrior Within (One of my favorites games, hope Ubisoft make another game). This was the hardest piece I’ve ever worked on, where many time I haved to redone some parts to get it right, but it was very fun to learn all the techniques (in sculpting and real-time) necessary to make it. This is one of my first car models I built for a free independant racing game that allowed user generated content (racer.nl). It had a wonderful community that i do miss quite a bit. This was created before normal maps, high poly counts, and Substance Painter, but at least we had Photoshop… The Renault Alpine A110 is one of my favorite vintage automobiles of all time. I have only seen this car once in the flesh, and hope to again some day, it’s so beautiful to me. I have debated rebuilding this model as a high poly asset many times so I dug it out to see how it holds up in Sketchfab all these years later. See what you think and maybe download it for fun. This is my game ready mesh of Spinosaur with custom pattern. I really like dinosaurs and after completed Monster Hunter I had a lot of inspiration there, so I decided to create one of my favourite monster ;) In this model I tried to make realistic model as much, as possible. I want to make the bestiary of my creatures that I created. According to my interpretation, the Spinosaurs lives in the highlands near the volcanoes. Their pattern growing on their back effectively deters other predators and thanks to this they can easly hunt their favorite meal. They weren’t big, but certainly belonged to the most aggressive and most bloodthirsty dinosaurs, they never let a prey escape from their sharp claws. This is Monika from the game Doki-Doki Literature Club which was one of my favorite games from last year. The work Dan and Team Salvato did on the game was amazing and it’s one of the most impactful games I’ve played in a long time.
