In 1518 4 ships and 260 men left the island of Cuba lead by Juan de Grijalva and commanded by Francisco de Montejo being the first sights and encounter in the Yucatan Peninsula, the Spanish ships encountered the ancient city of Tulum in which they were confronted with war.
During Mictlan, this will be one of the first scenes showcasing the dynamic and evolving scenario of what would become the beginning of a bloody and tragic war against the people of Mesoamerica.
I 3D model one of the most important temple buildings in Tulum as a way to re create not just one of my favorite ancient sites but also to lay the foundation of the history that is not much known.

These silhouette sculpture portray feathered vision serpents and are unique to
Copan. It is believed that originally they were part of the decoration of Structure 3.
Vision serpents are the conduit between the earth and the supernatural realms. They connect a Maya king to his source of spiritual power from the gods and deified ancestors (Asociacion Copan, 2010, p.195).
