The birth of a star is a complex process which takes place in molecular clouds of the interstellar medium. The clouds (or diffuse nebulae) consist in a mixture of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases. The interstellar material is enriched by heavy elements previously forged in the interior of stars and ejected at the end of their lives in the form of dense winds and supernova explosions. Dense regions within the clouds collapse and form new stars. For this reason, these spectacular nebulae are often referred as stellar nurseries or star-forming regions. The model is an artist’s view of one of these stellar nurseries. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 526760 polygons.

Jupiter - Gas Giant 3D Model, Optimized by RigModels.com, Fully textured with UV Mapping and materials.
Download Jupiter - Gas Giant in various files formats such as Wavefront Object format, Autodesk FBX, DirectX 9.0, Stereo Lithography and HTML5 JSON format.
Jupiter is more than twice as massive than the other planets of our solar system combined. The giant planet’s Great Red spot is a centuries-old storm bigger than Earth.
Eleven Earths could fit across Jupiter’s equator. If Earth were the size of a grape, Jupiter would be the size of a basketball.
Orbits about 484 million miles (778 million kilometers) or 5.2 Astronomical Units (AU) from our Sun (Earth is one AU from the Sun).
Rotates once about every 10 hours (a Jovian day), but takes about 12 Earth years to complete one orbit of the Sun (a Jovian year).
A gas giant and so lacks an Earth-like surface. If it has a solid inner core at all, it’s likely only about the size of Earth.
Jupiter’s atmosphere is made up mostly of hydrogen (H2) and helium (He).
Has more than 75 moons.
In 1979 the Voyager mission discovered Jupiter’s faint ring system. All four giant planets in our solar system have ring systems.
