The BD-9001 Heavy Assault Tank or otherwise known in colloquial dialect as the Womp Rat, is a vehicle employed by the various criminal underworld factions as a siege and breakthrough tank.

Thus owning and maintaining a BD-9001 was a flaunting display of wealth and power.
