It’s almost a year ago that I uploaded my first ship model, the IJN Fubuki, so I decided to make one of her more advanced sister ships: The IJN Ayanami.
The Ayanami was build for the Imperial Japanese Navy and when introduced into service she was one of the most powerful destroyer in the world.
She sustained critical damage after being shelled by the USS Washington during the second phase of the Battle of Guadalcanal (15 November 1942) and was later scuttled by IJN Uranami.
