This scene was made for the end assignment of 3D1 in DAE Howest. The seaside theme was chosen and shows part of a tropical resort, there is a house up for hire where people can stay during their visit. Surfboards and jetski are also available, information is found within the smaller blue building next to the boardsrack. Ther is of course a beach volleyball net that is available to guests free of charge. People can also relax in the chairs found on the bridge that goes over the shallow clear water, but do be careful there are creatures found within the water. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 27125 polygons.

End exam for 3D1 at DAE. I tried to work around the Idea of a group of surfer boys, spending their time in a surfer shack at the beach in florida. Final assignment for the 3D1 course at Digital Arts and Entertainment @howest Kortrijk, Belgium kinda fell in love with this little place - i’d like to live there learning how to work with maya has been a real pleasure, i was a bit sceptical at first since i started my 3d journey in fusion 360 and blender, maya felt very different and getting to a point of workflow proficiency where i started to really enjoy working took longer than expected. This is my scene for the Howest DAE diorama assignment. Before starting my studies at DAE I went on a summer trip to Norway and found the nature there, and in particular the forests, to be very inspiring. I tried to capture some of that experience in the foliage and landscaping of the garden. My main goal for this scene was to make it feel like a believable whole while still keeping a strong overall composition. I really tried to push myself on this one so any feedback will always be appreciated. I did my best to convey the forest loner’s story of why he lives where he does. He may be an art thief but I didn’t want to commit any actual art theft myself, so the paintings are just some photographs, mostly from Norway. For my 3D1 Final, I decided to make a diorama based off my village back in India. Located atop mountains and surrounded by nature, a lush green environment, a lake, and, reimagined with semi-modern architecture, my diorama depicts what a forest loner might live like around that area. It’s messy, but for someone who’s only modeled for more or less 6 months, I’m very proud of it.
