Aragonese Castle (Italian: Castello Aragonese) is a medieval castle next to Ischia (one of the Phlegraean Islands), at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, Italy.[1] The castle stands on a volcanic rocky islet that connects to the larger island of Ischia by a causeway (Ponte Aragonese).
The castle was built by Hiero I of Syracuse in 474 BC. At the same time, two towers were built to control enemy fleets’ movements. The rock was then occupied by Parthenopeans (the ancient inhabitants of Naples). In 326 BC the fortress was captured by Romans, and then again by the Parthenopeans. Vyborg Castle is a Swedish-built medieval fortress around which the town of Vyborg (today in Russia) evolved. It was originally constructed in the 1290s on the site of Karelian fortress after the Third Swedish Crusade to Finland. The town was originally located inside the outer fortifications of the castle.

Вы́боргский за́мок (фин. Viipurin linna, швед. Viborgs slott) был возведён шведами в 1293 г. на небольшом острове (170 х 122 м) в Финском заливе. Замок на воде является древнейшим из выборгских укреплений. В России это один из немногочисленных полностью сохранившихся памятников западноевропейского средневекового военного зодчества, сейчас в нём располагается государственный музей.
