Another Critical Role fanart! This time it’s Carlos Ruiz’s awesome interpretation of Laura Bailey as Jester the tiefling cleric (with his blessing!).
I scaled down this project so that I could focus on my sculpting and texturing skills (specifically faces/hair) and even though I failed to follow Carlos’ shapes, I’m very happy with the final outcome.

In the game, players assume the role of a pilot for the X1-Alpha, a robot designed to fight in the “Crime War” in Los Angeles in the year 2098. The X1-Alpha is a police vehicle that can transform between a fast, hovering pursuit vehicle, and a slower, full-fledged combat mecha.
This is recreation of the in game robot with HD textures for a modern age. The creaton of this model was an excersise in texture creation and animation (although I could have picked something easier to animate for my first time animating). The model was created in sketchup for the most part before moving it into blender for the finishing touches, texturing and animation. The textures where created from scratch using photoshop.
