This is my game ready mesh of Spinosaur with custom pattern. I really like dinosaurs and after completed Monster Hunter I had a lot of inspiration there, so I decided to create one of my favourite monster ;) In this model I tried to make realistic model as much, as possible.
I want to make the bestiary of my creatures that I created.
According to my interpretation, the Spinosaurs lives in the highlands near the volcanoes. Their pattern growing on their back effectively deters other predators and thanks to this they can easly hunt their favorite meal. They weren’t big, but certainly belonged to the most aggressive and most bloodthirsty dinosaurs, they never let a prey escape from their sharp claws.

Messing around with refractive materials!
The Mosquito scan (415k tris) is from Geoffrey Marchal.
Modeling:
The scan was first remeshed with mmgs and baked to a lighter version (11k tris).
The amber fragment was roughly sculpted in blender (“I have no clue what I’m doing” style), keeping the main face flat (clay strips + flatten brushes).
The small fragments inside the amber were done by splitting all the main fragment edges and applying the “shrink/fatten” tool, followed by a random Displace modifier. Exterior fragments were then removed with a boolean modifier.
Material:
The important parts are the roughness and normal maps, which are a mix of PBR textures (rougher edges, smoother main face), while the refractivity is just a product of tweaking Sketchfab settings: opacity set to refractive and using the object’s roughness.

The Australopithecus boisei skull, is the most famous fossil from Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania. OH 5 was discovered by Mary Leakey in 1959 and originally classified as Zinjanthropus boisei by L. Leakey in Nature later that year. The accepted genus name has since changed to Australopithecus, this fossil is also know by the genus name Paranthropus. This discovery spurred paleoanthropology toward a modern, multidisciplinary approach, and focused paleoanthropologists’ attention on East Africa. Unique in hominid evolution, A. boisei’s massive skull features a wide, concave face, enormous, flat molars (about 4 times as big as modern H. sapiens) and cranial adaptations for powerful chewing, hence its nickname, Nutcracker Man. Note the sagittal crest and extremely large area for muscle attachments on the zygomatic arch. The thick jaw allowed for the species’ exceptional chewing capabilities. Cranial capacity of this individual is 530 cc 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 763246 polygons.
