Medieval church located inside the impressive Fortress of Calatrava La Nueva in Aldea del Rey (Ciudad Real, Spain). The castle/convent of Calatrava La Nueva was built in the 13th century to serve as the seat of the powerful Order of Calatrava and today it is one of the most important castles in Spain. Inside, a large 3-nave church was built in an artistic style that mixes elements of Romanesque, Gothic and influences of Islamic art. This mixture of styles, but also of constructive and decorative techniques, make the church of Calatrava La Nueva a unique place. We want to publicly thank the collaboration of the Castilla-La Mancha regional government, Aldea del Rey City Council, and the archaeologist Ana Segovia Fernández, for the assistance and faciliation they have given provided. The Cathedral of St. Mary of La Seu Vella (150 km from Barcelona)is considered a Romanesque work, although it has elements of Gothic architecture and some Renaissance additions. The site was previously occupied by a Palaeo-Christian and Visigothic cathedral, which later, after the Islamic conquest of Spain, was rebuilt in 832 to be used as a mosque. The Fountain of the Fallen Angel, or The Fuente del Ángel Caído, is a monument and work of art located in the Retiro Park in Madrid, Spain. The statue that crowns the monument was created by Ricardo Bellver in 1877 in Rome and was inspired by verses from Paradise Lost of John Milton (Canto I). It received the first prize in the 1877 edition of the Exposiciones Nacionales de Bellas Artes and was acquired by the state of Madrid in 1878.

The Temple at Évora is a unique example of roman religious architecture, and was wrongly described as being built to honor the goddess Diana. It rather was constructed to honor the figure of the emperor. This structure dates from the late 1st century to the early 2nd century A.D., and it was part of a larger complex that included a forum, a public square with a basilica on the opposite side, and it was surrounded by a colonnade. The temple as seen today dates back to the second half of the 19th century, when, under the direction of the cenographer Cinnati, all non-roman elements were removed.
