  M14 A1H Sniper Rifle 3D Model 2026-07-13
This is an M14 Battle rifle that has been converted to a prototype hybrid tech weapon. This was part of a series of weapons designed as part of a covert US military project that began in the mid 1960s. [REDACTED]. Project ATIW (Advanced Technologies Infantry Weapon). This particular prototype explored the idea of using chemical propellants and electromagnetism in tandem to fire the projectiles. The core of this weapon system operates mostly like a standard M14(without full automatic capability). Once the projectile is fired, a series of high powered electromagnetic coils further accelerates the projectile before it exits the barrel. The ammunition is comprised of a ferromagnetic core with a proprietary heat resistant tungsten alloy jacket that is capable of withstanding incredibly high temperatures and pressures. Rifle based on Remington Accessory Chassis System (RACS) contracted for USA SOCOM around 2013 by Surgeon. Model is rigged, but there is also version with separated parts. Rifle it self have 3 PBR Materials in 4K. Scope, bipod and suppressor have separated Materials. Black, FDE and tanodized/gold colors are included. Verts: 30.6K / without addons: 21.5K Tris: 60.4K / without addons: 42.8K Made in Blender. PS. For preview model I used 2K textures as due to all addons it would be tad big and heavy with all those 4K uncompressed textures. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 60427 polygons.

Modular Rifle is based on concept art by the brilliant artist Kris Thaler. https://www.artstation.com/kristhaler It was a great experience working on the rifle.I used our creativity to add certain elements to make it more appealing. The goal of this artwork was to make it look realistic.I used lots of shading techniques to make it look great and be more versatile. This rifle is comprised of four texture sets.
