Simple stylized scene made with Blender 2.93 LTS. This is a low poly cartoon floating island with a tent and fire camp. I added outline to objects to get toon effect. I used a gradient texture on objects to get this nice render. I started to create a little planet but the result was not as good as expected so I decided to create a tiny low poly island (very simple) and put my scene on it. I added low poly clouds to complete the decoration. Hello everybody.
As part of Sketchfab’s Low Poly Pirates competition I created this scene. I was a big fan of TaleSpin and especially of Don Karnage. If you never heard about him, check out the best of Don Karnage on YouTube: here. However, that is why I decided to create airships.
I had a lot of fun wiht that scene. I made everything by myself. I struggled with the maelstrom. I tried a lot of different styles. I needed around three days to find a satisfiying solution for me. Altogether I worked one week at that scene.
I hope you like it. I made a big flying fish. :)
