Knobbed whelk shell ( Busycon carica) from Cape May, New Jersey. It's a predatory sea snail. Scanned with Metascan, full processing and object masking of 176 photos on an iphone 13 pro. I'll have to fiddle with lighting to see if I can get better detail of the inner part of the shell. Same whelk shell was scanned without object masking with Trnio and RealityScan.
