“Puffer pigs are a common sight out on the grass lands in valleys if the more mountainous terrain of the islands.
The pigs have a unique ability to inflate to a creatures almost three times their size. Both as a mode of transit between islands and as a defense mechanism to evade prey.
Though they cannot fly in this state, the initial act of their puffing usually gives them an boost high off the ground. Whatever hight they reach they can maintain almost indefinitely so long as they stay puffed in the air.
Once they let up they fall down by a distance proportional to ratio of air they let out.”
