The 3D model presents a digital reconstruction of a historical crinoline - a special framework used to expand the fullness of the skirt in the mid 19th century. The crinoline is presented in “Punch Publications Ltd. (1856). Punch, or the London charivari, 31, p. 73". It has 4 hoops and 10 ribbons. A new method of parameterisation was applied to reproduce the shape and construction of the hoops, ribbons and belt (for further details see https://doi.org/10.1080/00405000.2019.1621042). I wore this trusty glove everywhere I went for the past few months, be it in my garden, pulling and seeding new plants, or at the supermarket, when shopping for supplies.
The fabric is breathy and confortable to the touch, partially coated with a waterproof rubber coating. It may indeed allow me to handle objects more confidently, yet its greatest merit is keeping viruses away :)
Overall, I’m very happy with it, and, for what it’s worth… more than just OK!
