For my 3D1 Final, I decided to make a diorama based off my village back in India. Located atop mountains and surrounded by nature, a lush green environment, a lake, and, reimagined with semi-modern architecture, my diorama depicts what a forest loner might live like around that area. It’s messy, but for someone who’s only modeled for more or less 6 months, I’m very proud of it. As much as I’d like to state that this diorama is a solo effort, it wouldn’t have been possible without the feedback of the extremely helpful DAE Community, including Andra, Theoni, Timeea, Verena, and Kris. For the course Stylised Creation at Howest DAE I made this cute dog. This assignment was focussed on going through the whole pipeline (blockout - sculpting - retopology - UV Layout - texturing - presentation). This little guy was sculpted in ZBrush, retopo and UVs were done in Maya and I used Substance Painter for the final texturing touches. This character was made out of a concept by Lynn Chen.
