Ainsi, après la moisson, les céréales récoltées étaient égrenées par la batteuse, par l’effet de chocs répétés. L’entrainement de la batteuse était assuré parfois par le marche-à-terre qui consiste en un grand cercle de bois sur lequel passe la courroie de la batteuse.
