The Fokker D.VII was a German World War I fighter aircraft designed by Reinhold Platz of the Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. Germany produced around 3,300 D.VII aircraft in the second half of 1918. In service with the Luftstreitkräfte, the D.VII quickly proved itself to be a formidable aircraft. The Armistice ending the war specifically required, as the fourth clause of the “Clauses Relating to the Western Front”, that Germany was required to surrender all D.VIIs to the Allies.[1] Surviving aircraft saw much service with many countries in the years after World War I.
This machine was flown by Hans Shultz from Jasta 18, 1918, scored 1 victory 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 1064015 polygons.

I have been wanting to do this for a while because I always thought it was facinating how much this painting already looked like a lowpoly 3d scene! I’ve also always been a fan of the aesthetic of the Futurist movement.
I finally sat down to do this because I realized that this would be perfect for this month’s lowpoly challenge, seeing as Futurism was an art movement that portrayed utopian visions of a high tech future. So with that in mind, this is my second entry to the UtopiaLPChallenge, this one being in the pastel color scheme rather then the neon one like my first submission. I would have used a longer chain of buildings to be more faithful to the original work, but wanted to ensure that I remained within the 2000 triangle limit (final count for scene is 1964 tris) of the challenge.
The whole scene was modeled and animated in Blender and textured in Substance Painter. The original painting can be seen here: - Animated Painting: 'Volo Urbano' by Tullio Crali - 3D model by SkyeShark 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 1964 polygons.
