So I tried a bit of low poly modeling. It didn't exactly turn out low poly but a lot of the polies are because of the inside detail, which I decided to keep rather than remove just to lower the poly count. Blender for modeling and Substance Painter for texturing. The concept came from this image: The concept image was created by Sharon Huang for a really good animation that he and 2 other people created, Legend of the Flying Tomato. A fan-art from the game The Legend of Zelda! Link’s Master Sword and shield awaiting for him on a calm, magic forest, while Navi flies around. Engraved on the statue, the games from the series that I have completed so far.
My first attempt at handpaint (well, months ago I did one with the mouse, but that doesn’t count :P), and I’m really really satisfied with the mood of the scene and the result :D It’s quite a change from my usual style.
It began as an approach to modeling in 3dsMax with the Master Sword, then with the shield… and I couldn’t resist, I had to make the scene. Textured and animated with Blender.
It was really fun to make this one… I hope you like it! :)
