Druso Maggiore (38 - 9 a. C.). Figlio di Tiberio Claudio Nerone e di Livia Drusilla, nato quando questa era già passata a seconde nozze con Ottaviano. Fu un valente coadiutore di Augusto che lo predilesse fra tutti i parenti: nel 15, con Tiberio, aggiunse la Rezia all’Impero, nel 13 legato della Gallia provvide alla sua organizzazione amministrativa e militare, nel 12, iniziando le spedizioni in Germania, costruì un canale (fossa Drusiana) dal Reno al Mare del Nord. Giunse sino alla foce dell’Ems e del Weser; nell‘11 combatté contro gli Usipeti, i Catti, i Sicambri e i Cherusci. Nel 9 si accingeva a stroncare definitivamente i Catti, i Suebi, i Marcomanni, quando morì per una caduta da cavallo. La sua morte, per la grande popolarità delle sue gesta, fu molto compianta; molte onoranze gli furono tributate; ci rimane un epicedio. La statuetta in bronzo, trovata nel 1760, sul lato Ovest del Foro in un’area densa di rinvenimenti, rappresenta Ercole ebbro. II dio è raffigurato con il corpo nudo e ubriaco, come si nota dallo sbilanciamento indietro del busto e dalla pancia sporgente e gonfia. La testa è piegata verso destra, probabilmente con la mano destra appoggiava la clava sulla spalla e con la sinistra teneva una pelle di leone. Gli occhi ed i capezzoli sono intarsiati d’argento. Il volto e la resa della capigliatura e della barba a riccioli sono molto accurati.
Questa statuetta soprattutto per la resa muscolare si ispira anche al tipo del lottatore. Per il soggetto e la rappresentazione si data alla seconda metà del I secolo d.C 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 339758 polygons.

The late 14th century alabaster tomb of Goronwy ap Tudur and his wife Myfanwy, prominent members of the family which gave rise to the Tudor dynasty, is located at St Gredifael’s church in Penmynydd, Anglesey. When the tomb chest was originally carved it would undoubtedly have been one of the finest monuments of its time. It was originally situated in the friary in Llanfaes but following the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 1530s, the tomb chest was dismantled and moved to its current location at St Gredifael’s near to the original family home of the Tudors.
The model was commissioned by the Church in Wales and completed by Gwynedd Archaeological Trust in 2014, prior to conservation work on the tomb and repairs to the church.

Nudo, indossa gli stivali e tiene un tirso nella mano destra, con la sinistra è appoggiato ad un sostegno. La testa è girata a destra e incorniciata da folti capelli, incoronati da edera e grappoli d’uva che pendono anche sulle spalle.
