I was aiming for a Warcraft look (as in Frozen Throne, not necessarily WoW) with limited resolution hand painted textures.
Glow FX were originally done as billboard planes, flickering was achieved by randomly rescaling them; the little bat and moving candle flames were animated by shifting UV - as these techniques are currently unavailable on Sketchfab I edited them out and left a static model with no billboard tracking. Happy Halloween! I’ve always loved the Warcraft hand painted art style, and I was Inspired by the in-game Hallow’s End event in World of Warcraft. My goal was to create a 3D scene that a player could stumble upon in Azeroth, to trick or treat at.
