Fortune tellers always made they part in the circus universe and atmosphere. For this challenge i wanted to make a fan art / redesign of the anthological Fortune Teller / Wish Granter machine from the film “Big" (1988) in a sci-fi context, to fit in this intergalatic exibition! Zoltar's soul was eternally trapped in this futuristic machine, and the powerful oracle is always ready to grant you a wish. Glad to finish my entry for the #XPPenSculptChallenge in time! Don’t be fooled by this warrior’s sad appearance, this lone Ronin is capable of slicing through anything with his energy katana.
I had to make a few little changes to the concept because I wanted to model and animate this character as a game model, it still looked to be very close to the original idea.
Modeled in Maya, sculpted and rendered in Blender and textured in Substance Painter.

Excited about the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition? Well, I am for sure, so I had to make some fanarts to ease the hype!! Here is a recreation of the new Monado design shown in on of the latest trailers for the Future Connected epilogue. I only had the trailer as reference, so I had to use a bit of imagination for some pieces and proportions, and for the open/close mechanism too!
This was a very exciting hard-surface project, and I loved working on it. Stay tunned for more fanarts coming in the future!
