I was told a really interesting fact about antique medical supplies from a teacher who taught me 3D art in the past. The reasons for a lot of medical supplies/furniture during this time being green is so that when blood sprays on this colour, it appears as black and is less confronting to patients. This is because mixing red and green together, the result achieved is a dark brownish-black colour. The drawers and cupboards have functioning hinges and can be opened and closed to store all of your important medicines and supplies! This asset was created for EDEN, the indie surreal horror game by Missing Mountain Dev. The game takes place in an Australian Manor post WWII and the Gold Rush. Drawing heavy influence from Victorian Era furnishings which were used to display wealth during this period. Our game was featured at PAX Aus! A victorian era fruit plate from my victorian still life.
It was done in Blender, Substance Designer, Substance Painter and 3D Coat.
To create the engravings on the plate, I modeled and rendered the shapes in Blender as a height map and used them as a brush in sculpt mode with radial symmetry in Blender and as an alpha with radial symmetry in Substance Painter.
The translucency material for the grapes was a little tricky in realtime render engines and since I didn’t like the SSS result in Sketchfab, I used refractive opacity to fake the translucency 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 29182 polygons.

I was inspired by the Victorian “Love Seats” as those seats have a very organic and interesting looking shapes, I also wanted to incorporate a heart shape into the design to give it a stronger focal point and to reiterate why these are called love seats.
This model is fully textured in PBR and is suitable to be used in games, animations and advertising, it goes well in but are not limited to vintage, Victorian, classical, whimsical, fantasy settings.
