For this project, we had a narrow turnaround of 12 days to go from concept to final. VRChat needed to support first-generation Oculus Quest hardware (mobile hardware) in their New Years environment so we were given a very tight perf budget of 2,500 polys, a single material, and a 1024x1024 max res limit for any textures. I was told a really interesting fact about antique medical supplies from a teacher who taught me 3D art in the past. The reasons for a lot of medical supplies/furniture during this time being green is so that when blood sprays on this colour, it appears as black and is less confronting to patients. This is because mixing red and green together, the result achieved is a dark brownish-black colour.
The drawers and cupboards have functioning hinges and can be opened and closed to store all of your important medicines and supplies!
