Created from 237 photographs (Canon EOS Rebel T5i) using Metashape 1.5.5. The base of the coffin was unavailable for scanning and has been reconstructed using Meshmixer 3.5 with texture touched up using Blender 2.8 Texture Painting. This is my second assignment of Second Year Game Art @ De Montfort University. The brief was to create a ‘Bounty Hunter’ character bust with a budget of 18,000 tris. The aim was to create a semi-realistic look by using Zbrush for a more detailed mesh, then retop in 3DS Max and texuture in Substance Painter/Designer. Since our deadline isn’t until the end of the year, I haven’t rendered in UE4 for the hand-in just yet and have used Marmoset Toolbag. I really enjoyed this project - it was a pretty big learning curve for just a few weeks project but I learned a lot of new techniques and had fun bringing my own bounty hunter concept to life! My inspiration was the Witcher 3, but with a bit of stylisation mixed in.
