I’ve been working on a game with my team (Cotton Cloud Productions) called The Chopping Block. It is a horror theme and we wanted to have some distinctive rooms within the level, I thought a creepy painting would help add to the spookiness of the game (especially since it will disappear and reappear in another room with creepy laughter). I created the model, UV’s, and texture art. This is one of my favorite pieces I’ve done so far. This is my improved environment from a previous compulsory. I was originally going to use normal maps tht I made in 3DCoat, but they looked awful on the towers that I instead went for a less detailed approach, with larger focus on colour.
The rings and moon are all animated to be slowly floating up and down, in 3 different speeds (they also glow).
