I started this project back in mid September, but it got pushed to the wayside for a long time. Hooo boy, there’s nothing like picking up a 3 month old project to realize how much you’ve improved. As I am a fan of more organic designs and mythology in general, I went with a stylized viking boat. For the shapes and the style, I was inspired by a game franchise that is dear to me: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. As for the textures, I tried to replicate a hand-painting feeling using masks and filters within Substance Painter. This project was suprisingly very fun to do!
