This particular prototype explored the idea of using chemical propellants and electromagnetism in tandem to fire the projectiles. The core of this weapon system operates mostly like a standard M14(without full automatic capability). The ammunition is comprised of a ferromagnetic core with a proprietary heat resistant tungsten alloy jacket that is capable of withstanding incredibly high temperatures and pressures.
