3D Assets for a VR Game for the portfolio class project at HCC. I had the role/job of 3D Artist and was tasked with 3D modeling and texturing assets similarly to their real life counterparts. Then, importing assets to Unity while making sure they work inside the engine. Credits to DELL for logos/original product designs and NEC plus other branding included. Some textures were custom made/tweaked in Photoshop, but most assets I did use official/external logos. Assets not for sale, made for educational purposes. Special thanks to family and friends, class peers and prof. Chris Khuong for everything. Learned a lot while doing these assets. Software used, blender and substance painter. Assets will be used inside Unity. Workflow includes baking with high to low poly models. Maya was used for re-topo revisions for some instances. This model was used in a rendered photo that I submitted to the 2018 (Edit: 2019) APS Metro show in Abuquerque as part of the “Digital Photography/Special Techniques” category. Unlike my CS:GO skins, this model was actually made by me. Made in Maya, and textured in substance painter, this NEC APC computer looks very nice in my opinion due to it’s 4K screen and emissive map. Weirdly enough I don’t remember this project taking very long. The model and texturing probably only took 3 hours and was made during school. But I am typing this at 1:16AM so I dunno. Enjoy my model.
P.S. I included 2 STOS basic references for lolz as well as a motherlover one that didn’t survive the resolution of one of the materials. Sad.
Edit: I don’t know why, but this didn’t make it in to the show. I honestly don’t know why. Even if the picture sucked (it didn’t) it should’ve made it in because of how few entries in the Computer Generated Art categories there were. Oh well.
