I created a 3D model of a quaint, little tobacco shop I came across in Tokyo, Japan. Even though it was closed, its unique character and the vending machine outside piqued my interest. The globe was commissioned by NASA to help familiarize early astronauts with what they would see from orbit. The globe is rotating slowly but it was still tricky trying to capture enough of the surface for Europe to be sure I’d be able to generate a relief map.
