I thought this would be a cool idea and wanted to take the opportunity to create something new for the World of Warcraft universe. I thought of this idea because I wanted to take something that exists in real life and turn it into something that might live in the World of Warcraft, and I knew the Tuskarr would be a fun culture to delve into. Since they're based on Walruses I came up with the Milk Delivery Sledge for transporting their milk across the icy places of Northrend and the Dragon Isles. I tried to make everything fit in with the Tuskarr aesthetic and had a lot of fun with it. I appreciate all the feedback I had throughout the process which allowed me to push the project further and I'm really happy with how it looks. This model is a 1:1 replication of the original. All dimensions, angles, and curves are the same as the real life counterpart. The shoe is subdivision ready with a base polycount of 65,671 polys per shoe. The mesh uses four texture sets, all at 4096x4096 resolution, with the following maps in use: Base Color, Metallic, Roughness, Normal. The base color map contains the transparency information.
There is an optimized, One Mesh version which has a lower polycount, 33,440 polys per shoe. This was achieved by removing small stitches and smoothing out the sole of the shoe. Two images with turqoise backgrounds show what this looks like.
