I really wanted to make an asset related to Skyrim, but it became something bigger. You can see here a few things from “The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook” as well (the Horker Loaf with bacon pieces was approved by the writer herself in her Twitter lol). So this is a little experiment I’ve been contemplating on, inspired by the food assets in Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy 15.
I took photographs of an actual meal I cooked, and spliced them in Substance Painter with a few models I specially built from reference.
Nasi Lemak is a traditional Indonesian/Malaysian dish, consisting of spiced rice, coconut milk/shavings, a portion of meat (chicken) and fresh prawns, sometimes accompanied by a fried egg.
The hardest part was translating the lighting from Substance Painter to Unreal Engine, and I have recreated it as best as I can here in sketchfab.

Normal maps use DirectX mode, if your software works with OpenGL just invert the green channel.
There is only roughness texture, so if you need glossiness map just invert the roughness texture. The metallic texture in spec/gloss model should be used as the ior map or mask for the blended material and use Base Color texture as specular(reflection) map for second layer material.
